Issue 2 - 4th July 1996 - Circulation:
'500' Date Lush's next single from 'Lovelife' will be '500', and it will be released (in the UK, at least) on 15th July. It will be released on the familiar 'two CDs and a 7" vinyl' format. Interestingly, it seems from the release schedules (the ones I've seen, at least) that the single will be released as '500 (Shake Baby Shake)'. We shall see.
Also released that day is the new single from Joyrider, which is a cover of the Jane Wiedlin track 'Rush Hour'. Joyrider, you may remember, supported Lush on their 'Music Live' appearance in Belfast, which was broadcast on Radio 1, and were really very good.
Cookie Appearance Oddly enough, there seems to have been a big influx of 'Cookie' CDs into the UK, so if any Brits are desperate for that particular album, head on down to your local Virgin or HMV (especially if you live in Birmingham :) They're going for a hefty 20 quid, which was the reason I managed not to buy one, seeing as the only new thing would be the artwork.
